Now that the sun is starting to peek through the clouds, it’s time to get a makeup look to match the sunny spring days ahead. This month, Revlon will drop its Color Charge collection: a limited edition of 11 products (five of them new) in 40 different shades. Most of the bold, bright new colors — which range from warm and cool shades to metallic and matte finishes — will be in their customer-favorite products like the Super Lustrous Lipstick, blush, and nail polish.
The new items include two lip powder palettes (they look just like eye shadows) that can be mixed or layered on top of lipstick and lip gloss to create a custom metallic look. The Peach Pucker palette has peach, pink, and gold shades for a warmer tone, while the High Fever palette contains pink, purple, and silver shades for a cooler effect. Also new to the brand is a technicolor eye-shadow palette, five loose pigments (gold, lilac, copper, fuchsia, and holographic) to create bold eye looks, a champagne liquid illuminator, and a solid highlighter compact to match and layer on top of the illuminator.
There are 20 new shades of lipstick, lip gloss, and lip liner ranging from peachy nude to bright violet. Four metallic liquid eyeliners, two powder blushes (one is a cool lavender shade that supposedly looks as natural as typical blushes), and five nail polishes (one is silver) round out the extensive collection.
To create a metallic ombré red lip that would rival Mary J. Blige’s, apply the Super Lustrous Lipstick in High Energy (a cherry red). Then, use the middle peach shade in the Peach Pucker Lip Powder Palette to add some shimmer. Finish by applying the bottom gold shade to the middle of the lip to punch up the look.
Revlon’s limited-edition Color Charge collection is available now at select Walgreens and CVS stores. Target will have the collection online later this month.
