This Party Was a Master Class in Summer-y Style
Hungarian fashion brand Nanushka has been a sleeper hit in the fashion industry for a while. The label’s signature prints, bold shoulders, and puffy jackets have infiltrated influencers’ Instagrams slowly over the past 13 years since the brand was founded. Last season, Nanushka joined New York Fashion Week with a runway show — and this week, the brand celebrated the opening of its first U.S. pop-up store. Designer Sandra Sandor hosted an intimate dinner party in Los Angeles on Wednesday night to fête the new pop-up, with celebrity clients including Aubrey Plaza, Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer, and model/artist/Hemingway descendant Langley Fox in attendance.
Surrounded by mid-century modern architecture and succulents, the crowd toasted Sandor’s success. Nanushka’s designs are influenced by Eastern European style, but their easy elegance works well for impeccable, beach-y summer style. Lord knows we’re craving some Cali-girl sartorial inspiration (thanks in part to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex). But if a Givenchy gown isn’t in your budget or you haven’t quite mastered the messy bun, the outfits at this party are a good place to start. Scroll on to see head-to-toe gold ensembles, terra-cotta-colored slip dresses, and, ambitiously, Rumer Willis in a puffy coat (the weather was 70 degrees).
