Dolce & Gabbana Is Turning Its Boutique Into a Secret Club
Back in April Dolce & Gabbana opened up their millenial-friendly downtown New York boutique. The three-story, Instagram-friendly space isn’t just a place to shop — the brand has turned it into an exclusive invite-only club that’ll act as a cultural hub and luxury community space. They’ll be hosting a monthly series of fun events that will be intimate (only 100–150 people!) and will center around themes like technology, food, music and of course, fashion. Last night they kicked things off with a performance by neo-Soul artist, Starchild & The New Romantic plus artists Madison McFerrin and Oyinda.
The crowd included singer Maxwell plus influencers like TK Wonder, Courtney Trop, and Charlotte Groeneveld clad in the brand’s signature over-the-top creations including of-the-moment fanny packs, bedazzled bomber jackets and statement T-shirts. The night felt like a passing of the guard, which goes hand-in-hand with Dolce & Gabbana’s enthusiasm for youth culture. Starchild, who cites Maxwell as a source of career inspiration, was thrilled to meet the singer while Madison McFerrin (daughter of Bobby McFerrin) established herself as a star in her own right.
