All the Best Looks From the Critic's Choice Awards
It’s awards season, and Lady Gaga is determined to wear a series of dramatic gowns on the red carpet while working her way toward an EGOT. Gaga turned up on the Critic’s Choice Awards carpet in another dress with a very long train, just like at the Golden Globes. Yalitza Aparicio had another princess moment in a pale pink dress with a beaded harness situation. And Julia Roberts, America Ferrera, and Catherine O’Hara all wore stunning suits or suitlike ensembles. But as gorgeous as the women and their outfits were, the men actually deserve some credit for making the red carpet interesting.
We expect so little from actors on red carpets, and it’s really a shame. Timothée Chalamet wore a galaxy-printed suit with what are surely clout sneakers. Darren Criss wore tiny sunglasses with a beige ensemble (it’s more exciting than it sounds). Billy Porter from Pose stole the red carpet at the Golden Globes in his cape, and didn’t disappoint this time around. Neither did Cody Fern, who wore the Margiela boots that look like hoofs yet again.
