Kenneth Cole has partnered with the Broadway musical The Prom on its latest Pride-month collaboration. The cast members of the musical, which follows aging Broadway stars to rural Indiana where they support a young queer woman at her prom, star in the ad campaign and a short film called “Tied With Pride.” Also, if you’re an eagle-eyed Broadway stan, you may have noticed that the show’s female leads have been wearing custom Kenneth Cole sneakers during the closing number that are similar to ones you can buy now — just without a coat of glitter. “We are so proud to bring the message of acceptance and heart at the center of The Prom out into the world and thankful to Kenneth Cole for helping us spread it far and wide,” the show’s director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw said.

Kenneth Cole has been doing Tied With Pride for over 25 years. But this year is extra special because it is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

The collection is mostly black-and-white, heavily accented with rainbows. The slogan is “50lidarity” acknowledging the anniversary of the uprising. The 16 pieces include cute slides, hats, two kinds of sneakers, and of course, T-shirts. In honor of the collection Kenneth Cole is also making a donation to the United Nations Foundation in support of UN Free & Equal. The global program promotes the fair treatment and equal rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

It’s all available now on the brand’s website.
