Sophie Turner Says Game of Thrones Coffee Cup Was ‘100 Percent’ Kit Harington’s Fault

Sophie Turner is desperate not to be blamed for the rogue coffee cup in episode four of Game of Thrones’ final season. In between getting married, doing press for GOT and Dark Phoenix, and supporting husband Joe Jonas’s comeback, Sansa Stark has been jotting down evidence, taking alibis, and all but wearing Detective Pikachu’s hat. Finally, after initially blaming Emilia Clarke on Fallon (“She’s the culprit!”), Turner is back with the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

“Kit is lazy, and I think he would have done that,” she announced on Conan Wednesday night.

In her theory, the coffee cup was in front of Kit Harington’s chair, and when he got up, it made it look like it was actually in front of her own. So, it must have been Harington. Both Turner and former suspect Emilia Clarke wouldn’t even have been drinking coffee on set because of their costumes.

“I wear a corset, so I either piss myself or I throw up,” she says in her defense.

With that settled and Kit Harington presumably being shipped off to HBO prison, Sophie Turner opened up about on-set antics that didn’t disrupt the final season: her and Maisie Williams’s fake-out make-outs.

“On the set, we would do the scene and try to kiss each other in the middle of the scene,” she explained. But since it’s GOT, no one really batted an eyelash at sisters kissing. The pranks started as a reaction to dating rumors, but Turner shrugs, “Sometimes you just wanna make out with your best friend.”
