Meghan Markle is currently on maternity leave from her royal duties, but we all know the Duchess of Sussex is a famously hard worker and probably hasn’t stopped working entirely. Her latest rumored project, according to sources in The Sun and Us Weekly, is especially exciting for fans of her style. She’s reportedly going to be guest editing the September issue of British Vogue, the most important issue of the year.

According to the sources, Meghan will be writing an op-ed and corralling a “selection of female change-makers on board to write their own personal essays.” She’ll also be photographed at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, hopefully with Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor (her son). Royals generally aren’t overly political, but the duchess has never shied away speaking her mind, especially when it comes to women’s issues. Either way, it’ll be an interesting issue to read, if it all comes together.

She wouldn’t be the first to voluntarily appear in or edit a magazine while royal. Kate Middleton also appeared on the cover of British Vogue in 2016, and Prince Charles guest edited an issue of Country Life in 2013. Of course, Markle has editing experience. She ran a lifestyle website called the Tig until 2017, when her relationship with Harry was getting serious. Maybe British Vogue will let her bring it back for just one issue. We’ve reached out to British Vogue for comment and will update when we hear back.
