Yuni Ahn, the new creative director for Maison Kitsuné, is pushing the limits of what constitutes “beachwear” for her first campaign for the brand. For fall 2019, the Maison Kitsuné men and women are dressing in slouchy versions of classic silhouettes, with some streetwear influences (see the clunky white sneakers with calf-high ribbed socks).
The campaign takes them to the beach. Styled by Tom Van Dorpe and photographed by Sam Rock, the models prance around on a deserted beach (which we’re jealous of). It’s like if that “We Are Not Alone” scene in The Breakfast Club took place in 2019, but with more boilersuits and eccentricity. See the video below.
