The Status Fleece for Dog Lovers

You might know cult-favorite designer Sandy Liang for her colorful, cozy fleece jackets, which have become a status item. In honor of a special dog, Liang designed a version for LCD, a Los Angeles-based retailer. Founder Geraldine Chung (an early supporter of Liang’s label) has a furry sidekick named Izzy who’s a beloved mascot. “Izzy is now 12 years old and [still giving] customers friendly greetings,” said Chung. “She was diagnosed with nasal cancer earlier this year, and I wanted to celebrate her life and the happiness people experience when they hang out with her.”

LCD’s exclusive version is slightly cropped and features denim pocket details, orange zippers, pink trim, and neon yellow lining. It’ll be available both online and in-stores. And because you can’t have a fleece named after a pet without a cute, furry tie-in, the boutique partnered with photography studio The Kind Aura to offer aura portraiture on November 23rd at their ROW DTLA location.
