Chanel Opened a Boutique in Aspen

If you’re not going to escape the cold for the holidays, why not travel somewhere a bit more fabulous than the windy streets of New York City? Say, a picturesque mountain retreat like Aspen. And while you’re there you can visit Chanel’s newest “ephemeral boutique.”

The intimate store is located in a small ski village at the foothills of Elk Mountain. Customers will be met with white wool covering the walls and mirrored columns inspired by the staircase connecting the very first Chanel store at 31 rue Cambon in Paris to Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment. Apart from offering snow-appropriate shoes, handbags, and accessories, there will also be a curated selection of items from the fall 2019 alpine-inspired collection, as well as a capsule of the Cruise 2020 collection, Virginie Viard’s first ready-to-wear collection as Artistic Director.

If you’re in the area during the holiday season, the Chanel Aspen boutique will be open until January 21, 2020, at 416 East Cooper Avenue.
