You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.
Lululemon’s Align pants have developed something of a cult following. New York City fitness instructors love them. In fact, one told us they’re so soft, they’re like a “second skin.” Moms like them, too, like Strategist contributing editor Jessica Silvester, who first bought a pair when she was seven months pregnant and is still wearing the same pair more than two years later. The secret is the buttery-soft “Nulu” fabric, which one woman told us is so lightweight, she forgets she’s wearing it at all. And these Lululemon Align joggers are made from the same not-too-tight material that’s easy to move in, but with a cuffed ankle that adds a bit more polish than a regular pair of leggings. (The fit reminds us a bit of these best-selling Outdoor Voices sweatpants, which are as flattering as they are comfortable.) These versatile, office-to-exercise class pants — with pockets — are just $79 right now, available in most sizes, but don’t dillydally: In our experience, on-sale Align pants don’t tend to stay in stock long.
