You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

The post-holiday sales continue to boggle the mind (in terms of how good they are), and this week we’ve cobbled together some of the best deals the internet has to offer including some Rihanna-approved sweatpants, a $38 Barbour scarf, and a Party Skirt.

Nordstrom’s big half-yearly sale may have come and gone, but there are some very good deals to be had there at the moment, like this $40 wool-cashmere scarf from Barbour.

A crisp, blue work backpack courtesy of Longchamp.

A whole batch of Calvin Klein men’s underwear is up to 50 percent off, like these classic boxer briefs.

It’s not quite the season for a denim jacket, but this price was too good not to include.

There are a few things from Everlane’s “Final Sale” section that we are still available in lots of sizes — that are excellent deals — like these stretchy high-rise cigarette jeans.

A versatile shirt dress that’s also available in black.

This oversize, slouchy alpaca mock-neck sweater from & Other Stories is also on sale in gray and emerald green.

We were sniffing out the clearance section at Macy’s and stumbled on these 54 percent off Frye boots.

A pair of polka-dotted boots will add some pep to any step.

Speaking of polka dots, this quartet of plates from Kate Spade works out to about $8 a plate.

If 2020 is proving more stressful than you anticipated, it might be time to start coloring, and this Sharpie “Deep Sea” kit is a good place to start.

The third (and last, we promise) polka-dotted item on our list: a sweet little mock-neck blouse that’s machine washable.

These brass drop earrings from Rachel Comey are dotted with a light-pink bead.

Now, a few highlights from various sales we’ve covered this week. First up, this extremely appealing purple puffer from the COS winter sale.

And this short wraparound wool skirt.

Straight from the Shopbop sale, these No. 6 clogs.

And these velvet leggings that would be great for lounging about the house or doing a few minutes of yoga.

Workout gear from Amazon’s house athleisure line Core 10 is on sale including this “yoga sweatshirt.”

A simple black hoodie with the North Face logo in the back.

Celebrities (Rihanna and Will Ferrell among them) are always wearing Radarte sweats, and now they’re a little less insanely expensive.

This is a Party Skirt if we’ve ever seen one.

For those who tend toward a monochrome wardrobe, a bold clutch (like this striped number from Mansur Gavriel) is a very noncommittal way to mix things up.

Everything on sale at Anthropologie is a (whopping) extra 50 percent off, including these tights that are (similar, if not the exact) ones Radhika Jones famously wore to her first staff meeting at Vanity Fair.

This elegant pouf (that’s available in a slew of colors) can be used as a foot rest, coffee table, or a “petite perch.”

This festive plaid coat is available in plus, petite, and regular sizes.

Since they have a flare to them, these leggings can easily be worn as … pants.

A more classic pair of cropped Lululemon sweat-wicking leggings.

Just a really handsome pair of ankle boots with a chunky (but not too chunky) heel and a sleek zipper up the back.

This coated-cotton cosmetic case certainly will not get lost in your duffle bag.

A pair of work pants from Theory that in a glorious turn of events do not have a fly.

An everyday work tote from Rebecca Minkoff with a snap closure and an internal pocket.

This lilac “luxe” 480-thread-count duvet cover from Brooklinen will add a little levity to the bedroom.

This $5 Urban Decay eye-shadow palette is not going to last long … which is why we plopped it at the end.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape.
