Everyone on Instagram Was Invited to this Fashion Week Party

On February 11, 22-year-old Evan Mock, who is currently the face of the CK One and Paco Rabanne fragrances and whom the Times recently christened “the Pink-Haired Skater Hyped by Frank Ocean,” decided to throw a last-minute end–of–Fashion Week party. He and his buddy Ray hosted at Make Believe at SIXTY LES, a tiki lounge tucked away inside SIXTY Hotel on Allen Street. Democratically (or perhaps chaotically), they eschewed an invite list in favor of making an announcement to their combined 859,000 Instagram followers. But, of course, there was still a doorman, picking. Those who got in — a mix of skater kids, street fashionistas (many of whom were surprised it wasn’t open bar; others had stopped by the deli first, seeming to think it was BYOB), and overflow from the nearby Miu Miu party — danced to DJ Jennings (who doesn’t even have IG). Everybody sang along, the white kids politely muting themselves for the N-word. By the end of the night — and the night went till 4 a.m. — it was a mosh pit. Tino Pelligrino, one of Evan’s friends, whose IG declares, “I want to be the happiest person in the world,” posted the next day, “last night was a movie! everyone got REVVED UP!”
