32 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: Presidents’ Day Sales Edition

You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

While Presidents’ Day is mostly known for its mattress deals (see our roundup here), there are quite a few other notable sales “events” afoot. We gathered the best of the batch below.

There is a crazy sale at Kate Spade, where tons of items are an extra 40 to 60 percent off. This classic tote is very work-appropriate.

A small crossbody number that can actually hold more than it looks.

This mock-neck sweater dress has a very flattering look about it, and it’s available in XXS to XXL.

A whole bunch of sale items at Net-a-Porter are an extra 20 percent off with the code FURTHER20, which means that this easy-breezy T-shirt is almost 70 percent off.

It’s not quite the season, but a pair of See by Chloe espadrilles for $78 was too good not to throw in.

These (ever so slightly stretchy) Current/Elliott cropped jeans are not an extra 20 percent off, but are a great deal regardless.

Any black-tie events coming up?

This very elegant leather tote (with a handy magnetic clasp) is available in six other colors, but we like this “cranberry” shade the best.

Just a friendly reminder that these Bose noise-canceling headphones are the cheapest we’ve seen them. As Chris Black put it: “I wanted to hate them because they are standard issue for any true frequent flyer, but they are the best and therefore … I must use them.”

They’d go together quite nicely with these 80 (!) percent off Prada sunglasses.

This iRobot Roomba 614, one of the most “basic” Roomba vacuum models, is the cheapest it’s been since last summer.

Over at Anthropologie, all sale items are an extra 50 percent off, so if you’ve been meaning to get a pair of snakeskin knee-high boots, well, now’s the time.

And for those in search of something a little more classic.

These silver flats are rather Repetto-y.

This director’s chair would make an unorthodox but very cool-looking addition to the living room.

This plus-size sweater dress is bold without being shouty.

There’s something very country cottage in Maine about these cotton sheets from West Elm. (The set includes a top sheet, a fitted sheet, and two pillowcases.)

A (butt-covering) sweatshirt in a very pleasing shade of mustard courtesy of Lululemon.

Apparently this workout shirt is “anti-stink.”

Our colleague actually owns this table lamp from Drew Barrymore’s Flower Home line and can attest that it’s just as lovely in person.

A different kind of lamp — apparently it is a lot brighter than most people expect.

This waterproof Filson tote has six (count ’em, six!) external pockets.

This, one of our favorite powder sunscreens (it’s what a dermatologist we spoke to said she uses), is on sale as part of a larger Jane Iredale sale at Dermstore.

This fuzzy fleece for these fuzzy fleece times.

This cashmere “sweatshirt” is fitted, slightly shrunken, and, particularly in ivory, looks a lot more expensive than it is.

In other Everlane-cashmere-on-sale news, we are very taken with the wide-ribbed collar of this sweater. (Also, women, take note: There are smalls and extra smalls on sale if you’re looking for a “boyfriend sweater” look.)

These Coach pumps have a three and a quarter inch heel and feature a “breathable” leather lining.

The Coach logo on this wool-cashmere scarf is sort of Art Deco-esque.

We’ll be covering the Sephora Presidents’ Day sale more in-depth later this afternoon, but for now we suggest picking up this $14 Fenty Beauty “Juicy Satin” lipstick before it’s gone.

Same deal with the Nordstrom Winter Sale. For now, we will leave you with this work tank made from recycled polyester.

Today (Friday) only, a whole slew stuff from Korean skin-care line Neogen are on sale on Amazon, including Rio’s beloved exfoliating pads.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
