Milan Fashion Week drew to a close with brands like Prada and Jil Sander expressing ideas of radical simplicity on the runway. The street style, too, seemed to skew more subtle. Showgoers wore tonal looks in beige, grays, and earthy blues and greens with a hint of brighter colors here and there. One woman wore a black turtleneck underneath an oversized trench coat with a voluminous beret and a white bag, complete with a thick gold chain strap. Here, it was all about the proportions rather than a smattering of color.
