It appears two celebs have pulled a fast one: Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake reportedly welcomed a second child this week, having kept Biel’s pregnancy “top-secret” for the past nine months. This is admittedly easier to do when the country is quarantining against a pandemic, which has mostly (but by no means entirely) kept famous people inside their homes and outside the paparazzi’s reach. But still, big congrats to Biel and Timberlake, both for keeping this news under wraps, and on their newborn son. We’re all very proud.
On Saturday, the Daily Mail “exclusively reveal[ed]” that Biel “gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week,” and that Biel’s mother — Kimberly Conroe Biel — has stayed with the couple at their Big Sky, Montana, home for much of that time. The tabloid says a friend of Conroe Biel’s, reached at her house in Colorado, confirmed the baby’s arrival and its sex. The Mail also says that Biel, Timberlake, and their 5-year-old son, Silas, are believed to have been in Montana since March 25.
Neither Biel nor Timberlake have addressed the report on social media, but as the Mail notes, they have not been photographed publicly since March. Biel did Instagram photos marking her 38th birthday on March 3, but large cakes and flowy robes mostly obscured her midsection. Otherwise, neither of them have posted recent photos showing anything below the neck. If this was strategic, as the Mail suggests, then it was also well played.
The couple have reportedly been “working on their marriage” this year, after photos of Timberlake holding hands with his Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainwright, circulated online in late 2019. Timberlake subsequently characterized the alleged handsiness as a “strong lapse in judgment” and apologized for putting his “amazing wife and family … through such an embarrassing situation.” The pair later assured everyone that they were still very much together, and now they (maybe) have a new baby. A round of applause for a well-executed surprise.
