On Wednesday, Dior Beauty announced that makeup artist Sam Visser has joined the team as the U.S. makeup artist ambassador, working under the direction of Peter Philips, creative and image director, and alongside celebrity makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani, who has been an ambassador for Dior Makeup since 2015.

Visser, who was dubbed the “the next Kevyn Aucoin” by distinguished makeup artist Pati Dubroff, is a bit of a wunderkind in the field. He started his career at the age of 12, and tells WWD that by his sophomore year of high school, he had already booked the job as Kris Jenner’s personal makeup artist, after the momager reached out to him on Instagram. Today, the 20-year-old has some other clients you might have heard of, including models Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber, and sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

In his new role, Visser will lend his “well-trained eye” and “individual aesthetic” to collaborate with Dior on “unique digital and editorial projects, and red carpet partnerships,” the brand said in a release. Visser’s the one responsible for Ariana Grande’s black lipstick on the thank u, next album cover, this Bella Hadid alien situation, and Alexa Demie’s leopard-print eyelids, so we’re very much looking forward to said unique projects and red-carpet looks upon their post-pandemic return.
