Nordstrom’s latest Center Stage pop-up, done in concert with rag & bone, has an immersive twist: You can browse clothes inside a replica of a classic New York bodega.
At ten select Nordstrom locations, shoppers will experience an immersive deli experience. The ambience will be created through custom neon signs, a mirror in the shop’s fitting room made to mimic an infinite deli aisle, and a custom mural by artist Timothy Goodman. To celebrate the opening, Nordstrom and rag & bone will make a special $25,000 grant to Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation to benefit their Restaurant Workers COVID-19 Crisis Relief fund, which provides aid to individual restaurant workers and industry nonprofits as well as zero-interest loans to restaurants to get them back up and running.
The shop offers perfect Summer 2021 looks for both men and women, with a curated selection of accessories, ready-to-wear pieces and limited-edition graphic T-shirts — all available exclusively within the pop-up locations from May 3 to June 5, 2021.
If you can’t make it to a pop-up, you can still participate in some virtual events. Continuing with the deli theme, NYC culinary talents will be featured in a series of how-to cooking videos offering reinterpretations of deli menu favorites. Participans include Chef Maryah Ananda; Mokbar chef and owner of Esther Choi; Jordan Andino, a host on the Food Network; and Zaynab Issa, author of Let’s Eat. You can find them on each of the brands’ social-media accounts.
