Prince, his favorite color, signature liner, and beloved hits are being further memorialized in makeup form.

The late artist’s estate has teamed up with Urban Decay, purveyor of cult-favorite palettes and legendary liners, to create a limited-edition capsule collection honoring the icon and his ethos of unapologetically owning your look.

The seven-piece collection includes two eye-shadow palettes — bold neutrals and shimmery metallics in the “U Got the Look” palette, and the purple-and-blue-hued “Let’s Go Crazy” palette — two creamy kajal eyeliners inspired by Prince’s signature eye look, a liquid highlighter, a multitasking makeup brush, and a waterproof translucent powder. Shades pay homage to song titles (try tight-lining with “When Doves Cry”), and each product is branded with Prince’s iconic “Love” symbol.

Both the collection and its accompanying campaign were designed in close collaboration with key members of Prince’s artistic camp, including creative director Trevor Guy, photographer-director Randee St. Nicholas, and model-dancer Damaris Lewis, Prince’s muse and friend who is also serving as the face of the capsule collection.

“We couldn’t possibly imitate someone as legendary as Prince, and to compare him to a palette would diminish who he was,” Urban Decay co-founder Wende Zomnir said in a statement. “It’s easy to say why this collection makes sense on the surface — his makeup looks and our shared love of purple — but we did our best to embody his energy on a deeper level. We found his ethos of not asking permission to be who he was and owning it so boldly aligned with our values of breaking the mold and championing all forms of beauty.”

The Prince x Urban Decay capsule will be available for preorder on May 21, a special collector’s vault containing all seven products will launch on May 27 on UrbanDecay.com, and individual products from the collection will be available at online retailers on June 6.
