22 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Filson to Glossier

You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

As the weather has heated up this week, so too have the sales. There are sitewide sales at rarely on-sale beauty brands Glossier and Tatcha, as well as deep discounts at Net-a-Porter, Madewell, and Baggu. But if you see something you like, don’t dillydally: Many of these sales end with the weekend, if not a little sooner. (And if you want more sales coverage sent straight to your inbox, sign up for our email newsletter.)

Use code SUNFUN at checkout to get up to 30 percent off nearly 300 items at Madewell — including these all-white short overalls.

The code also applies to a bunch of already on-sale picks, like this all-cotton T-shirt dress in this cream color, as well as a bolder ocher and a pale pink.

True to the name, these breezy shorts really do seem like something you could wear all summer long.

Net-a-Porter is having a sale, with discounts as deep as 50 percent, including these polarized sunglasses from Australian brand Le Specs.

Or opt for these under-$100 Ray-Bans in a go-with-everything tortoiseshell.

These silver-plated Jennifer Fisher hoops will dress up any outfit, even if it’s just a sweatsuit.

The sale extends to Net-a-Porter’s sibling menswear shop Mr. Porter, where there are lots of deals that would make great gifts for Dad — like this blue Filson briefcase.

Replace Dad’s drugstore razors and the Ziploc bag he uses as a Dopp kit with this shaving set from Harry’s and Want Les Essentiels.

These Sony noise-canceling headphones are very similar to our favorite WH-1000XM4s but without some of the bells and whistles (like quick charging), making them ultimately a very good deal — especially for just $148.

Baggu is having an online sample sale, with discounts up to 60 percent on lots of things we’ve written about before, like the now-classic standard Baggu in this fun Simpsons print.

The Baggu duck bag is “like your favorite (free) canvas tote, but with a few more bells and whistles, like a little inner pocket, snap closure, adjustable shoulder strap, and handles.”

The best discounts at Baggu’s sample sale are on their three-packs of reusable face masks, which we like because they “look good, feel good, and stay put.”

Glossier is offering 20 percent off everything on its site as part of its Friends of Glossier sale. We’ve rounded up all of the best finds here, but some of the best deals to be found are on bundles, like this makeup and beauty bag set that includes our beauty writer Rio Viera-Newton’s favorite daytime mascara and Glossier’s multitasking cream blush Cloud Paint.

If you’re not big on blush, you can also just pick up a tube of Glossier’s best-selling mascara on its own.

Another excellent Glossier bundle for those who are always losing their lip balm (or who just know that Balm Dotcom is as good for cuticles as it is for lips).

With a clear, lightweight formula and SPF 35, this sunscreen is beloved by Strategist staffers and beauty YouTubers alike (and won’t leave a white cast).

Tatcha is also having a (very rare) sitewide sale, so we’ve pulled together a list of Rio’s favorite products from the Japanese-inspired skin-care line — including this cream that Rio says will make your skin look “plumper, brighter, and intensely nourished.”

This gentle, hydrating cleansing oil is a favorite of dermatologists, our editor (who’s been using it since 2012), and even Marie Kondo.

Amazon Prime Day is just about a week away — on Monday, June 21, and Tuesday, June 22 — but there’s already a bunch of early Prime Day deals to shop. One of the best is on this third generation Echo Dot, which comes with a smart lightbulb you can control through Alexa.

Take 20 percent off décor and entertaining essentials at Anthropologie, like this Corkcicle water bottle that’s practical for beach days and picnics now but looks nice enough to bring to the office this fall.

For the dad who misses his record player, here’s a retro-inspired Crosley Bluetooth speaker. It won’t sound the same as vinyl, but at least it’ll be easy to pair to his phone.

If you’re already planning your 4th of July barbecue, consider adding this colorful croquet set to the mix (that comes with an actually nice-looking carrying case for travel).

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
