Baywatch, But Make It Italian

Has a one-piece ever looked hotter than Pamela Anderson’s lifeguard uniform on Baywatch? To this day, her high-cut red bathing suit remains the pinnacle of flattering (and practical!) swimwear. But we — and by we, I mean society — are perhaps due for a refresher on its merits, seeing that swimwear has gotten way too complicated in recent years. These days, people are wearing their bikinis upside down and inside out. They’re wearing bottoms as tops, and tops as bottoms. It’s madness! Reconsider the one-piece, though. It’s the opposite of complicated, and this Versace bathing suit (above) is further proof that the style can be both sexy and save lives. Its gold-chain straps take it to the next level — arguably one that goes beyond the beach. In all, it’s very luxurious, and very, very Italian.
