The Bestest Party Looks of the Week

The fall equinox took place this week, which is exciting if your favorite season is, like mine, fall — but all I could think about was Rihanna. What is she wearing? What will she be wearing? And most important, when will I be able to watch Savage x Fenty Vol. 3? The show’s premiere brought out stars decked out in their best sexy dresses and looks, and the queen herself showed up on the red carpet. If that wasn’t enough, we also got some iconic red looks this week, from designer Wes Gordon’s suit to Symone’s latex dress. Below, see these and more of the best looks from the week.

Most Y2K

Actress Mattea Conforti attends The Many Saints Of Newark preview on September 22.

If baby blue and fur sleeves are not everywhere this fall, I will complain. Conforti showed up at the event sporting designer Michael Fausto’s collared shift dress like it was made for her and paired it with white boots, proving that Y2K is back for good.

Best Host!

Rihanna attends the premiere of Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3 on September 22.

Sporting black lingerie, Rihanna outdid herself at the premiere of the third Savage X Fenty show. Showing plenty of skin, she matched her black lace bottoms with a black dress that was cut in all the right places. Thank you, Rihanna.

Best Cowboy Boots

Leon Bridges after The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on September 21.

Though Bridges can frequently be spotted in cowboy boots, this look was elevated and classy. Paired with black wide-leg trousers and a leather jacket, this Texan looks like he belongs in the city.

Most Likely to Crash a 1950s Film Set

Fashion designer Samantha Angelo and husband, Peter Ostrega, at The Bridge on September 18 in Bridgehampton, New York.

Channeling her inner Hepburn, Angelo brought a ‘50s-inspired look to life. The designer paired a navy midi-dress with a white sun hat and gloves to tie the look together, and standing next to her husband, the pair look right out of a movie.

Most Likely to Win an Award. Oh, Wait …

Fashion designer Wes Gordon attends the 2021 Couture Council Luncheon on September 22.

FIT honored Gordon, and he showed up ready to claim his prize. The designer wore a lovely red suit and a smile to match.

Best Mullet

Actress Whitney Peak attends the premiere of Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show on September 22.

Gossip Girl’s Whitney Peak previewed a blonde mullet and low-rise cargo pants at the Savage X Fenty Show. And what else is that I see? Is that a tooth gem? The 18-year-old is sporting all the current trends, and doing it quite well.

Most Likely to Shantay, You Stay!

Symone at the premiere of Madonna’s new album Madame X on September 23.

Anything Symone does, I stand behind. The drag queen showed off her physique in this little red latex dress, and I loved every second of it. Whatever event Symone is attending, she is going to be dressed to perfection.
