Blackpink’s Lisa Is Expanding Her Résumé

There’s no stopping Blackpink’s Lisa — the K-pop star is building a beauty résumé that now includes the house of Celine. In 2020 she was officially named a global ambassador for the brand’s ready-to-wear and accessories. This morning she made her virtual runway debut in Celine’s spring/summer 2022 show. Now she is also the new face of its haute parfumerie.

Launched 2019, Celine has 11 perfumes that draw references from creative director Hedi Slimane’s background, with names such as Parade, Black Tie, Reptile, and Nightclubbing. For example, Parade is described as a “parade under the sunlight of neroli and the radiance of bergamot,” inspired by the “great dandies from the 19th century.” In the campaign perfume image by Slimane, Lisa dons her signature short cut and bangs. It’s a similar cut to those seen on the models in today’s show, leading Blackpink stans to eagerly speculate that it serves as official proof of her wide-ranging influence as a muse.

The Thailand-born rapper and dancer, who is currently recovering from COVID-19, is the first K-pop star to ever become a global ambassador for Celine. She is also the new face of MAC Cosmetics and released her first makeup collection, MAC x L, with the company recently. Congratulations to Lisa and Blinks, who consider her to be their “ultimate bias.”
