Lady Whistledown Is Back to Cause Some Smutty Chaos

If you’ve been missing smutty period television, I have some good news. It’s Valentine’s Day, and we finally have an official trailer for season two of Bridgerton. And while the Hot Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) announced last year that he would not be returning to the series, it appears that the eldest Bridgerton son has lost his sideburns and is ready to be a (very hot) leading man.

Season two will be centered around the romance of Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and his journey to find a wife, and it seems his sights have landed on newcomer Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). Assuming Regency-era London is anything like it was in season one, it will be no easy task to get these two wed, and from the looks of the trailer, it seems as if Sharma may be more flustered than flattered with Anthony’s interest. Meanwhile, Lady Whistledown, the anonymous gossip columnist who wreaked havoc on the city in season one, has finally returned, and she has been busy honing her craft. Now that we know that the antagonist is the youngest Featherington sister, Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), it will be interesting to see how she decides to cause chaos once again. From the looks of it, it will involve fencing, horse racing, and a potential gun fight? Buckle into your carriage and get ready for the season premiere on March 25.
