Ezra Miller was arrested in Hawaii early Monday morning and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after police responded to a report about a drunk patron at a karaoke bar. According to a news release by the Hawaii Police Department, Miller started “yelling obscenities” at other people in the bar and “grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke.” Later, the actor allegedly “lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts.”

This isn’t the first time there have been reports of Miller acting aggressively. In April 2020, a video that appears to show the actor choking a woman outside a bar in Iceland circulated online. While different versions of the story emerged— one eyewitness claims Miller assaulted an overeager fan at the bar’s back entrance, while another said the woman had jokingly challenged Miller to a fight — footage appears to show them grabbing the woman by the throat and throwing her to the ground. They didn’t publicly address the video.

Miller was released on bail Monday morning. The Cut has reached out to their representatives for comment and will update when we hear back.
