18 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Everlane to Nespresso

You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

Spring sales are in full swing as we close out the week, with several exceptional deals on things we’ve written about before. There’s a reader-favorite tote for work and travel, a Strategist-tested CBD oil that actually tastes good, and the foundation one makeup artist calls the “holy grail” for all skin types. (And if you want even more deals sent straight to your inbox, sign up for our email newsletter.)

Boy Smells’ Kush candle took the top spot in our round-up of the very best candles for its “heady mix of amber, floral, and green notes,” according to Strategist writer (and candle tester) Tembe Denton-Hurst. As it burns, it “evolves like a conversation with an old friend,” she writes, “bright at the surface and then increasingly complex as the hours stretch on.” The brand hardly ever goes on sale, but we spotted this duo for 25 percent off over at Nordstrom.

Lots of Armani Beauty products are also 15 percent off at Nordstrom, including the brand’s buildable (and best selling) foundation. One makeup artist told us it’s the “holy-grail of foundations for all skin types” and “creates a radiant glow without a greasy finish.”

An expert-recommended Click & Grow smart garden would make a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift for the mom with a green thumb.

Madewell is taking up to 40 percent off new styles with code YESPLS, including this Y2K-esque slip skirt made from breezy linen. (Reviewers say it runs small, so consider sizing up.)

With a padded footbed and lightweight sole, these leather fisherman flatforms will be as comfortable as they are stylish.

Madewell’s travel-friendly Zip-Top Transport Tote, one of our favorite work bags for women, is also included in the sale.

These hand-blown tumblers are thicker and sturdier than typical glassware, making them an excellent choice for outdoor use this summer.

A durable (and $10) jute rug that’s tough enough to put indoors or out …

… And to place on top of it, a minimalist pet bowl set that won’t clash with your apartment décor.

This top-rated T-fal pan takes the guesswork out of preheating, since the ring around the center turns solid red once it’s hot enough for frying.

Oral-B often ranks high in our round-ups of the best electric toothbrushes. This one comes with a travel case and replacement brush heads, all for under $100.

Strategist readers and writers alike are big fans of Baggu’s reusable totes, all of which are 30 percent off — or just $10 each — for a limited time.

Highline Wellness CBD Oil

I can’t stomach the taste of most CBD oils, but Highline Wellness’s actually tastes good. The citrus flavor is refreshing and mellow, and while I haven’t tried the mint, I’m sure it’s equally as tasty. Today only, all of the brand’s CBD gummies and tinctures are 20 percent off at checkout.

Macy’s is taking up to an extra 30 percent off select sale items through the weekend with code OWNIT. That includes this family-size dutch oven from the Martha Stewart Collection, a favorite among reviewers for perfectly cooked soups, stews, and sides.

Just in time for some spring cleaning, Bed Bath & Beyond is offering up to $100 off select vacuums. This well-reviewed model from Shark was designed with pet hair in mind, so it’s outfitted with a self-cleaning brushroll to prevent hair wrap. (It also has a removable battery that can be charged in or out of the unit.)

In case you missed it, Everlane is offering 25 percent off all denim with code DENIM25FORALL through April 2. You can’t go wrong with a pair of the brand’s Strategist-favorite Cheeky Jeans, which have butt-flattering back pockets and are made from ’90s-inspired rigid denim.

There are several gems in the brand’s regular sale section as well, including this under-$20 baseball tee made from cotton. It’s still in stock in sizes XS to XXL, though likely not for long.

This two-piece Nespresso machine— our go-to for making café-level coffee at home — makes both coffee and espresso in a variety of sizes and can froth milk in a matter of seconds.

Finally, select Nintendo-inspired sock sets are 30 percent off at Best Buy — any of which, we think, would make an excellent addition to an Easter basket.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
