Did Margaret Qualley just subtly announce her engagement to Jack Antonoff on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet? It appears so. In perhaps the chicest and most low-key celebrity engagement news, the actor showed off an impressive diamond on her left ring finger as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of her film, Stars at Noon. A few days of rumors later, and People has now reportedly confirmed that the two are, in fact, engaged.
Qualley appears to have debuted the ring on Wednesday, May 25, at the film festival. She was also wearing what appeared to be the same ring during a photo call for the Claire Denis film, in which she stars opposite Joe Alwyn. And, if you zoom in on her recent Instagram post showing off her Chanel outfit, you can see the ring, suggesting that it wasn’t just jewelry worn for the premiere.
Neither Qualley nor Antonoff have commented on the engagement rumors, but they have both confirmed their relationship status. They were first linked in August of 2021, after photos of them canoodling at Milk Bar went viral (well, viral enough to spark rumors of a new Hollywood It couple). They have since walked red carpets together — appearing at the Critic’s Choice Awards (where Qualley’s show Maid was nominated) and the Grammy Awards (where Antonoff was also nominated) — and made it Instagram official with a few couple photos.
