What Is It?
Fans will be happy to hear that the silhouette remains mostly the same. The Forum Blues were inspired by the archipelago of Puerto Rico. The shoes are made from leather and suede, paired with the signature double tongue, double-heel padding, and a hardware-buckle closure system so you can switch out the laces that are available in three colors: pastel pink, pastel yellow, and baby blue.
Do I Need This?
Yes. And I’m not just saying that because I’m a die-hard Bad Bunny fan. (Or because I flew from Puerto Rico to New York City this week on a Bad Bunny–inspired plane sponsored by Adidas. Yeah, yeah, I know. Keep reading.) Bella Hadid has been spotted wearing the Forum Buckle Low sneakers. While they are technically modeled after B-ball sneakers, they remind me of the DC and Etnies skater shoes I always coveted during middle school. Nostalgia!
When Adidas showed me a pair, I took them out for a quick test run (while blasting Bad Bunny on my headphones). They are comfortable and versatile. And I know they could get me through three-plus hours of bailoteo y perreo.
How Do I Get It?
The Adidas Bad Bunny Forums are exclusive to the Adidas Confirmed app and can’t be found on other retailers. So download the app and pray you can score this drop before resellers get their hands on them and sell for twice their price.
What Are People Saying?
Everyone I spoke to loved them — but, to be fair, they already loved our favorite Puerto Rican Bullet Train himbo and they got their pairs for free. But still!
On August 18, Adidas held a sweepstakes that gifted 30 lucky winners from around the world not only a pair of Forum Blues but also a flight to Puerto Rico to experience the island Benito himself cherishes so much. The three-day trip ends tonight at the Yankee Stadium stop of the World’s Hottest Tour. As a Boricua, obviously I jumped at the opportunity to hop aboard, too.
Here’s the 411: JetBlue is cute, but Air Benito baby blue is better. The outside of the jet flaunted the heart caricature of Bad Bunny’s latest album, Un Verano Sin Ti, and it was all baby-blue-themed. The boarding tickets were named after towns in Puerto Rico: Arecibo, Mayagüez, Toa Baja, Trujillo Alto. The goody bags with neck pillows and blankets on each seat were designed by Benito himself, according to an Adidas representative. Benito even made sure the four-legged friends would be able to fit comfortably inside each bag. (As real ones know, Benito is a dog dad.)
Anyway, the fact that when you wear them, you feel like you’re part of Bad Bunny’s world domination makes it worth downloading an app to try your luck before they sell out.
