19 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Ninja to Isabel Marant

You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

The state of sales is truly excellent as we close out the week with sizable discounts on a number of Strategist-favorite brands across the kitchen, home, and fashion worlds. There’s the best blender for making multiple smoothies at once, 50 percent off a truly excellent bike helmet, writer Molly Young’s favorite foot peel, and much more. (As always, if you want even more deals sent straight to your inbox, sign up for our email newsletter.)

We’re starting things off strong with some rarely on-sale Birkenstocks at Nordstrom. Designed for high summer, the usual black soles have been swapped for white with the typically neutral straps making way for a much cheerier green.

For grilling when it’s too hot to go outside and grill.

Dermstore’s excellent Anniversary Sale continues and now includes our favorite face sunscreen. (For more great picks from the sale, check out the rest of our Dermstore picks here.)

To go with those Birks, here’s writer Molly Young’s favorite foot peel for achieving “silky feet.”

Unlike the summery sales above, Madewell is kindly taking 25 percent off fall essentials ahead of the upcoming season — like this polo-sweater hybrid, perfect for transitional weather.

The sale also applies to this leather transport tote, a Strategist favorite ever since it was recommended to us by Smitten Kitchen’s Deb Perelman in 2018. This particular model has a shoulder strap to help on days you’re carrying a laptop and a zipper to shield your valuables from the rain.

Coway Airmega 150

From $130

Over at Amazon, we found an excellent Coway air purifier — one of Golde co-founder Trinity Mouzon Wofford’s favorite things — for the cheapest price we’ve ever seen it.

Another on-sale Strategist-favorite at Amazon (and Target) is our pick for the very best large blender. With 1,000 watts of power, it excels at juice- and smoothie-making for multiple people thanks to its extra-large 72-ounce plastic pitcher.

There’s also an extra 30 percent off all on-sale items at Anthropologie, bringing these covetable heels from Cut-favorite designer Loeffler Randall down to under $200 from almost $400 before. Note: The final sale price will be shown once you’ve added them to your cart.

West Elm is currently in the midst of a warehouse sale with up to 70 percent off a number of great finds such as this jolly outdoor lantern …

… and this incredibly practical valet for checking your fit — and finding your keys — before you leave the house.

We love the handsome wooden stand that comes with these drink dispensers, and if you want an even deeper discount, the stands also come in white ceramic or black metal.

Over at Ssense, this Carhartt chore jacket (from its hardy Work in Progress collection) is down to $95 from $180, well in time for fall.

High-top Converse are another perfect item for transitional weather — the canvas lets your feet breathe in warm weather, and the higher top keeps your ankles protected from winds. On top of that, the Chuck 70 line is the most comfortable way to enjoy Converse’s classic design.

Best Buy is getting in on the sales action ahead of the weekend. This Chefman air fryer is large enough to cook for the entire family and (for now) costs less than its much smaller models.

Sizes are limited, but there are still lots of gems to be found in Lisa Says Gah’s sample sale, including this tank that we’d wear with a T-shirt underneath once the weather’s a little cooler.

Because $25 Isabel Marant socks are nothing to scoff at.

Also at Shopbop: $17 Areaware candle holders that would make an excellent housewarming gift for any friends who are moving this fall.

From $150

And finally, here’s a phenomenal discount on a well-ventilated bike helmet from a cycling brand we’ve been recommended time and again.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
