Happy Friday, New York! It’s the final day of my internship at the Cut, and therefore, my final Party Pics roundup. Throughout the summer, fashionable attendees stunned us at lavish Hamptons parties, brand celebration dinners, and NYFW events. Now, as we enter a new season, things are starting to calm down. Still, Dua Lipa, Julia Fox, and more stepped out this week to celebrate at events including a Chanel launch party, the New York Ballet Fall Fashion Gala, and the Taste of Asia benefit.
Best LBD: Dua Lipa
Okay, so this isn’t quite a little black dress, but Dua Lipa knew how to pull the color off, wearing this Versace gown with button details to the Clooney Foundation for Justice Albie Awards.
Best Dressed: Amal and George Clooney
In her beaded Atelier Versace gown at the Clooney Foundation for Justice Albie Awards, Amal Clooney looked straight out of the 1920s. Her husband looked dapper too.
Most Julia Fox: Julia Fox
I appreciate Julia Fox’s consistency when it comes to picking daring looks. Fox attended the New York Ballet 2022 Fall Fashion Gala wearing this dramatic metallic gown and sporting bleached eyebrows, because of course she did.
Best Coat: Queen Latifah
It’s fall, which means it’s time to start bringing out our favorite statement jackets. At the New York Ballet 2022 Fall Fashion Gala, Queen Latifah wore this emerald-green crystal-embellished number.
Best Accessory: Soo Joo Park
Soo Joo Park, the face of Chanel’s Première Original Edition watch, sported the timepiece at the dinner to celebrate its launch.
Most On-Theme: Lily Allen
Also in attendance at Chanel’s celebratory dinner, Lily Allen sported a heart-shaped Chanel bag, Chanel shoes, and a Chanel top and trousers. I can’t blame her for wearing the brand from head to toe.
Best Ready-to-Wear: Jessica Williams
Not all party outfits are created equal, but Jessica Williams managed to choose something both cool and comfortable for the “Entergalactic” Brunch to celebrate Black love. The puffed sleeves and lace detailing are fun, and her white sneakers make me want to wear the outfit asap.
Tye-Dye But Glam: Anitta
Who said tye-dye can’t be fancy? Anitta wore this multicolored ruffled gown to the Sotheby’s Impact Gala and paired it with a purple asymmetrical bag.
Best Duo: Kelly Ripa and Bethenny Frankel
Kelly Ripa and Bethenny Frankel looked ready to celebrate the launch of Ripa’s new book at her dinner party at Scarpetta.
Best Coordination: Teddy Quinlivan
Teddy Quinlivan bravely wore a mostly orange outfit to Zegna’s celebration of the launch of its Oasi Cashmere Collection, and she pulled it off by committing to the color coordination.
Most Polished: Wen Zhou and Jamie Chung
Wen Zhou, CEO and co-founder of 3.1 Phillip Lim, and actress Jamie Chung looked chic in their neutral-toned jackets at the second annual Taste of Asia benefit.
Host With the Most: Tomás Matos
Tomás Matos wore this blue-and-white-striped dress with a reddish-orange accent to celebrate the Keith Haring x Pandora collection. They paired their look with a matching purse, hat, and nail polish.
Best Party Girl–Core: Rachel Trail and Roxette Arisa
Rachel Trail and Roxette Arisa celebrated the launch of their podcast, Bush Babies, with a late-night soirée. With their cutout leather outfits and grungy makeup, the pair were this week’s resident party girls.
