It’s September! You know what that means, New York: a long weekend, pumpkin-spice lattes, and cooler temperatures. In the last week of August, however, there was still a lot to celebrate. The U.S. Open is happening, and Taylor Swift is releasing a new album. Here are some of our favorite looks from the week.

The Coolest: Emily Ratajkowski

Emily Ratajkowski kept it simple at the Rothy’s x Evian party at Racquet House at Rockefeller Center. She wore all black to celebrate the new tennis-inspired collection made of repurposed Evian water bottles from last year’s U.S. Open.

Best Minidress: Jessica Wang

At the same party, blogger and influencer Jessica Wang wore this green-and-pink striped minidress. I love her white sky-high heels.

Best LBD: Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney wore a halter-neck black dress and black heels with gold accents to celebrate the launch of Dr. Barbara Sturm on Luxury Stores at Amazon at the Shou Sugi Ban House in the Hamptons.

At the same event, Dr. Barbara Sturm looked chic in this feathered minidress.

Best Suit: Amy Julliette Lefévre

Sage green is a superior suit color. Look no further than Amy Julliette Lefévre, who was in the Hamptons celebrating Dr. Barbara Sturm. She accessorized with navy pointed-toe heels and a white bag.

Best Group: Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and Rosé

There were a lot of looks at this year’s VMAs but even more at the after-parties. At the Republic Records after-party in Chelsea, Sabrina Carpenter went with a light pink, beaded dress that she accessorized with a thick black headband and sheer gloves. Rosé wore a cool graphic T-shirt with a skeleton design. And Ms. Swift gave us the very first look of her Midnights era in a midnight-blue romper embellished with stars.

Best Pattern: Huma Abedin

Huma Abedin wore this patterned maxi dress at Tanya Taylor’s East Hampton end-of-summer celebration.

Best Color: Elizabeth Kurpis

At the same event, Elizabeth Kurpis wore a dress with a whole lot of drama.

Designers Off-Duty: Jacques Agbobly, Edvin Thompson, and Antoine Manning

Jacques Agbobly, Edvin Thompson, and Antoine Manning celebrated Black Fashion Fair’s Museum World Tour at the Brooklyn Museum in style.

Best Accessories: Ajla Tomljanovic and Donna Vekic

Ahead of the U.S. Open, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Shiffon Co. hosted a ladies night to celebrate women in sports. The impact-based jewelry line raises funds for female entrepreneurs, making the pinky rings tennis pros Ajla Tomljanovic and Donna Vekic are wearing not only fashionable but for a good cause.
