13 of the Best Cashmere Sweaters on the Internet

Once you go cashmere, you’ll never go back.

Is there any better feeling than slipping into a sumptuous, soft cashmere sweater on a blistering cold day? Its inviting, indulgent warmth makes it a perfect — and stylish — line of defense against harsh winter weather.

And while the best cashmere sweaters often have a reputation for being pricey or high-maintenance, there’s a reason for it: Unlike sheep’s wool, cashmere comes from the ultra-soft, superfine fibers from a goat’s undercoat, making it even smoother to the touch than traditional wool. Still, styles can vary by weight, heft, or warmth factor, though one thing’s for certain: It’ll be one of the most supple, cozy, and comfortable items in your closet.

The Oversized Breton

This merino wool and plush cashmere blend sweater is even softer than you’d think — and its dropped shoulder and oversized fit makes it the perfect pick for anyone who prefers a slouchy look for colder days ahead.
