Hailey Bieber posted an Instagram story on Monday revealing that she’s suffering from an ovarian cyst. Sharing a photo of her pulling her sweater up to show her bare stomach, she wrote “Not a baby,” clarifying, “I have a cyst on my ovary the size of an apple. I don’t have endometriosis or PCOS but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it’s never fun.”

Ovarian cysts are common and not always caused by preexisting conditions like endometriosis or polycystic ovary syndrome, and they often go away naturally. Plenty of ovarian cysts don’t hurt at all, but Bieber described her own experience as “painful and achey and makes me feel nauseous and bloated and crampy and emotional.” She added, “Anyways … I’m sure a lot of you can overly relate and understand. We got this.”

This isn’t the first time Bieber has been candid about her health. In March, she shared that she was hospitalized for a blood clot in her brain that gave her “stroke-like symptoms,” later revealing that she was briefly unable to speak and had to undergo heart surgery. Meanwhile, her husband, Justin Bieber, has also been updating his fans on his Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis, which briefly paralyzed half his face and forced him to call off a handful of tour dates earlier this year. In June, Hailey spoke about handling health crises together on Live With Kelly and Ryan, saying, “It really bonds you. I feel like we’re closer than ever.”
