It’s Friday already. Here’s a little something to lift your spirits as the sun sets at 4 p.m.: parties! As we ease into Mariah Carey’s most powerful season, the parties are getting way more festive, with surprise performances, brighter colors, and lots and lots of sequins. This week Lori Harvey and Ziwe celebrate Moda Operandi, Tessa Thompson fêtes Chanel, and Gigi Hadid enjoys Friendsgiving. Here are some of our favorite looks.

Best Set: Ziwe & Lori Harvey

It was only appropriate to fête the Club Moda party-themed capsule collection with a big party at the Palace in Soho on Thursday. The fashion affair featured many well-dressed guests, including Ziwe and Lori Harvey. The only thing better than this pairing is Ziwe’s sequin-covered set.

Best Performance: Kelis

At the same event, Kelis treated everyone to a surprise performance, and in this hot-pink suit, her milkshake does bring all the boys to the yard.

Best Pants: Gigi Hadid

Gigi stopped by the Ned Nomad for the Bowery x Krost Friendsgiving dinner. Her wide-leg pants are getting added to our Christmas wish lists.

Dynamic Duo: Lili Chemla & Emily Ratajkowski

Leset invited attendees to a spa day at the Greenwich Hotel to welcome its new shoe launch. Founder Lili Chemla posed alongside Emily Ratajkowski in one of the brand’s sets. We’re sensing a trend here.

Best Use of Bags: Tessa Thompson

To celebrate and support emerging women filmmakers, Chanel and the Academy hosted the Academy Women’s Luncheon in Los Angeles Wednesday. Tessa Thompson hit the white carpet with not one but two small Chanel bags. Sometimes a girl needs to bring along more than just a phone and lip gloss.

Most Glam Guest: Indya Moore

The best way to celebrate a shiny new collab between Swarovski and the Rockefeller Center is a dinner full of glamorous guests in their sparkliest outfits. Case in point: Indya Moore in this glam getup.

Best Suited: Babba C. Rivera

If her bold suit is any indication, Ceremonia founder Babba C. Rivera doesn’t shy away from bright colors. She donned the vivid outfit at Le Dive with Cinq à Sept to celebrate Mary Lawless Lee’s book Happily Grey.

Life of the Party: Roopal Patel & Sarah Staudinger

Staud founder Sarah Staudinger and Roopal Patel gathered in Beverly Hills to celebrate Staud’s newest collection at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Sweater-Weather Inspiration: Aurora James

Tired: sweaters with pants. Wired: sweaters with a sequin skirt, a winning pairing as demonstrated by Brother Vellies founder Aurora James. She joined Lingua Franca founder Rachelle Hruska MacPherson to celebrate the recent collab between Wallshoppe and Jones Hollywood.

Best Hair: J. Balvin

What do you call a dye job that’s business in the front and bat signal in the back? J. Balvin’s bold hair accompanied him to the Hirshhorn Museum, where the star was appointed as the Inaugural Cultural Ambassador.
