Paris Hilton is officially a mother. On her Instagram, Hilton announced that she and Carter Reum had welcomed a son, posting a photo of the baby’s hand wrapped around her thumb. She captioned the photo: “You are already loved beyond words 💙.”
In an interview with People published on Tuesday, Hilton said, “It’s always been my dream to be a mother, and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
Hilton and venture capitalist Reum got married in November 2021. A few months later, she told E! News’ Daily Pop that she couldn’t wait to be a mother, adding that becoming a mom was “definitely one of my top priorities” and she hoped to have two or three children.
Hilton told People that she and Reum began the IVF process during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, ‘This is perfect timing. Usually I’m on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let’s just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,’ and we have tons of them just waiting.” People reports that the baby was born via surrogate.
