Nordstrom is making it easier than ever to find and discover Black-owned brands. Until March 8, Black/style@Nordstom will be highlighting more than 50 Black-owned brands in fashion, beauty, wellness, and home décor, including Estelle Colored Glass, Laquan Smith, Wales Bonner, Martine Ali, and more.

According to Olivia Kim, SVP of Creative Merchandising the pop features a mix of brands Nordstrom has long supported and new emerging brands. For The OULA Company their partnership started in 2021. The brand’s founder, Erika Dalya Massaquoi has been creating bold, printed pieces that are globally sourced. Each piece from OULA, available at the store, is an exclusive (limited edition with just 100 silhouettes per print) and hand-sewn.

“OULA is a direct reflection of my lived experience as a Black American woman, and to be able to share that in a commercial retail space is a privilege,” Massaquoi said.

To fête the launch, Nordstrom hosted a party in the pop-up in the New York location on February 3. Guests were able to shop for graphic tees and hats from One DNA, handbags from Anima Iris, clothing from Sami Miro Vintage, and glassware from Estelle Colored Glass.

Here are some of the offerings:

This cotton collared minidress in one of Oula’s bold print is great for layering under knitwear this winter, pair it with chunky boots and warm tights.

This graphic tee is cool enough to be a piece of art but luckily for your it’s made of breathable cotton for everyday wear. You can also get this print on a tote.

This pretty glassware is well worth the hype and has been a longtime staple at Nordstrom. You can shop everything from tumblers to flutes, we recommend these pink glasses for your espresso martinis.

The key to a good vase is something that looks just as good empty as it does with a fresh bouquet. We can see this one on a shelf or coffee table with dried florals.

If you want to splurge on anything let it be these maxi dress from Harbison. With cool cutouts and asymmetric ruffles and details the form-fitting maxi is unlike any dress you already own. The brand worn by Janelle Monae, Keke Palmer and more is also sustainable.

Not only do Gilded Body’s candles look and smell really good, but they’re also refillable so you can replace the candle and keep this gorgeous vessel around forever.

The fine jewelry brand makes standout architectural pieces, start with this stackable ring you can mix and match with the rest of your minimalist rings.
