We may still be recovering from the Grammys and revving up for the Rihanna concert, but there is one very, very important thing happening right now: NYFW just getting started. We’re kicking off a month of shows, after-parties, and very good outfits. This week, celebs are dancing with Saks, turning up with Nordstrom, and getting fit with Jane Fonda. Here are some of our favorite looks.

Best Boots: Charli XCX

Charli XCX got all laced up in her best boots and ’fit to perform for Saks Fifth Avenue’s guests at the Jazz Club at the Aman New York. Guests also enjoyed a performance by Big Freedia. We’re hoping everyone in attendance wore equally chic and appropriate footwear.

Best Trio: Elizabeth Olsen, Alicia Keys, and Gabrielle Union

Not everyone was in New York this week. Elizabeth Olsen, Alicia Keys, and Gabrielle Union enjoyed a very serene time in Joshua Tree at the Kellogg Doolittle House. To celebrate Hennessy Paradis’s Paradise on Earth, guests enjoyed a performance by Alicia Keys and Hennessy cocktails at the Utah oasis.

Best Trio, Part Deux: Antwaun Sargent, Tyler Mitchell, and Jeremy O. Harris

To fête the launch of Nordstrom NYC’s Stay Cool Bar, a monthlong takeover of the Broadway Bar by fashion label Wales Bonner, some of the brand’s most stylish fans and fashion insiders, including Antwaun Sargent, Tyler Mitchell, and playwright Jeremy O. Harris, flocked to the bar to enjoy cocktails and music by Ragz Originale and Nolly Babes.

Best Ruffles: Ziwe

The very iconic talk-show host and now-Mugler model joined Viktor & Rolf for dinner at Studio 525 and an after-party at Jean’s to celebrate Emily Ratajkowski, the new face of Flowerbomb. We appreciate the pairing of different textures, and her Collina Strada Vans have us even more inclined to shop the collab.

Best Use of Cutouts: Lori Harvey

Lori Harvey knows how to work a red carpet, as evidenced by this dress by Laquan Smith, perfectly accessorized with Elsa Peretti cuffs from Tiffany & Co. Harvey’s always the trendsetter. We can imagine cutouts will be the next big thing.

Most Festive Look: Shanina Shaik

Ruffles! Feathers! Is there any bigger indication that NYFW has started? Model Shanina Shaik attended Nadine Merabi’s NYFW cocktail party in this feathered jumpsuit from the brand at the Moxy.

Sportiest: Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda joined JaQuel Knight at H&M’s Williamsburg location to get the crowd moving, literally. Guests did a workout by Knight that was inspired by Fonda’s famed workout videos and later listened to a chat between Knight and Aminatou Sow. We want to know what workout she’s doing, and we’d also like this pink pullover.

Best Accessorizing: Aweng Chuol

Model Aweng Chuol makes the case for sunglasses indoors at Mytheresa’s NYFW cocktail party at Temple Bar. DJ Nikki Kynard provided the music while guests enjoyed cocktails, sliders, and fries.

Best Pose Struck: Aoki Lee Simmons

Forget about consulting another TikTok for how to pose in photos and just take a few notes from model and student Aoki Lee Simmons. She joined Evan Mock at Richie Akiva’s The Ned NoMad Hotel and Membership club to fête the launch of his Pandora collab, Evan Loves You by Pandora.

Most Eye-catching: Sandra Shehab, Jasmin Larian Hekmat, Remi Bader, Emily Ratajkowski

For summer-style inspo (or if you’re vacationing somewhere warmer before then), look no further than the guests at Cult Gaia’s New York store opening party. Between Sandra Shehab’s bright-pink gown and Remi Bader’s orange dress, we can’t choose a favorite.

Best Selfie: Alexander Edwards, Cher, and Pharrell

Pharrell snapped a quick selfie with Cher and Alexander Edwards at Steven Victor and Tod’s party in partnership with Rolls-Royce of Beverly Hills celebrating Pusha T and The-Dream at Matsuhisa. Is anyone else jealous of all the star-studded selfies celebs probably have on their phones?

Most Monochrome: Azeeza Khan and Kristen Noel Crawley

Photo: Madison Voelkel/BFA.com/Madison Voelkel/BFA.com

To celebrate her brand’s newest capsule collection for Shopbop, Azeeza founder Azeeza Khan and guests gathered in the Edition Times Square. For the evening of cocktails, guests wore Galentine’s-appropriate vivid-pink gowns. Khan paired hers with metallic shoes, while Kristen Noel Crawley went for all black. We’re very into both these monochromatic looks.

Matching Moment: Laila Gohar

Guests gathered at Nine Orchard Hotel to fête Aritizia’s collab with chef and artist Laila Gohar, who took a moment to pose with her carefully crafted edible installations. The only thing we love more than the cool neutral color palette is the way she matched her outfit with her work.
