Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson are officially parents. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson, over the weekend, Palmer shared on Instagram on Monday.
“Born during Black History Month, with a name to match!” Palmer wrote. “LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”
“We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God!” she wrote.
Palmer first confirmed that she was pregnant in December, while hosting Saturday Night Live, calling it the “biggest blessing.” Earlier this month, Palmer said she wouldn’t share the name she and Jackson had in mind for the baby, but that it “gives American. It gives Black American story line.” On Twitter, especially Black Twitter, fans were thrilled with the name.
Congratulations to the new parents! We can’t wait to see more videos and photos of Leo watching Rolling Ray, whom Palmer said he already loves.
