When the Daily Mail published photos of FKA Twigs with a dark-haired man with lots of piercings and a pair of great platforms, asking the public: “Do you know FKA Twigs’ mystery man? Email: firstname.lastname@example.org,” the publication probably wasn’t expecting a response from the singer herself.
On Tuesday, Twigs made her relationship with Jordan Hemingway, a photographer and filmmaker based in London, Instagram official. She posted a photo of herself and Hemingway, along with a shirtless mirror pic of Hemingway and a screenshot of the Daily Mail’s question.
“The whole of my career i’ve been hunted for who i am dating. so this time i’m pipping you to the post and taking control of the situation,” she wrote in the caption. “His name is @jordan_hemingway, a beautiful artist whose heart has restored my faith in love.”
Twigs previously dated Robert Pattinson, Matty Healy of the band the 1975, and Shia LaBeouf. In 2020, she filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf, outlining a pattern of physical and emotional abuse she alleged that she experienced while they were dating. At the time, she said that what she went through with LaBeouf was the worst thing she’d ever dealt with in her life. LaBeouf, responding to a New York Times report on the suit, said that, although “many of these allegations are not true,” he was not “in any position to tell anyone how [his] behavior made them feel.” He later denied “each and every allegation contained” in the original lawsuit.
She ended her Instagram post with a suggestion: “swipe for the hot pics. and now i’d like to go back to my nice private life with the dogs <3”
