You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

Hopefully you’re gearing up for a relaxing weekend — but I, for one, will be indulging in a little retail therapy because the sales this weekend are good. We found a sitewide sale at Brooklinen, a few fun board games geared toward kids (that adults will still enjoy playing), and a motorized massage pillow to work out knots. Urban Outfitters, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Anthropologie are also offering excellent deals on new, spring styles this weekend — so hop to it. And, as always, make sure to sign up for our email newsletter for even more sales coverage.

Our favorite electric back-massager pillow is $49 when you use Amazon’s on-site coupon. It might be small, but a former senior editor said it “works out knots in my back better than my boyfriend can.”

If you don’t want to splurge on a professional carpet cleaner this spring, pick up our best automatic carpet steam cleaner. It uses motion-sensing technology to dispense and suck up cleaning solution and comes with a two-in-one pet tool, which has thick rubber spikes to rake up pet hair.

The Kindle Paperwhite is the gold standard for e-readers, according to our tech writer Jordan McMahon. The 6.8-inch display is lit from the sides, which minimizes eye strain, and it’s also waterproof and has adjustable lighting. Both the 8 GB (enough to hold about 5,000 ebooks) and 16 GB versions are on sale at Amazon.

A cache of Disney-themed apparel and games are on sale at Amazon. This update to the classic kids’ guessing game features 15 favorite Disney princesses.

And in this pint-sized Monopoly game for kids age 5 and up, players try to earn the most money by feeding dinosaurs leafy banknotes. Board spaces have dinosaur names spelled out phonetically so kids can practice pronouncing them.

Google’s earbuds feature impressive an battery life, multi-device pairing, noise cancellation, and transparency mode — and are cheaper than AirPods right now. And unlike AirPods, they work on Samsung and Apple devices, too.

We named this Panasonic model the best-in-class beard trimmer for beginners and teens, and right now, it’s just $40. It has an easy-to-use adjustment dial to accommodate different hair lengths and both wet and dry functions.

These Strategist-approved Mellanni sheets are just $28 with an on-site coupon. Designer Ashley Moore says she loves the affordable and “supersoft” sheets so much that she uses them in every guest bedroom in her home.

In more bedding news, everything at Brooklinen is 20 percent off through March 27. Brooklinen’s interior-designer-approved sateen sheets are made of long-staple cotton, giving them a silkier and more substantial feel than percale.

Architectural designer Madelynn Ringo told us Brooklinen’s Super-Plush bath towels are “more robe than towel … incredible at soaking up water, and the threads are really durable, no snagging.” Plus they come in 13 colors, from classic cream to eye-catching rosebud pink, to fit every bathroom aesthetic.

These limited-edition beach towels are perfect for your first trip to the Rockaways this summer.

Another beach-day necessity: these funky water shoes, which are 30 percent off at Urban Outfitters thanks to its spring-break sale.

Available in both black and brown, this canvas cross-body pack has plenty of zip pockets and compartments to stash the essentials.

Select furniture, bedding, and home décor is up to 30 percent off at Anthropologie this weekend. Here are some elegant picture frames to zhuzh up your gallery wall.

Give your bathroom a spring reset with this nubby cotton bath rug, which is available in four colors (blue, pink, green, and white) as either a mat or a runner.

The platonic ideal of a vessel for affogatos is on sale in a four-pack. (And if you really want to go all out, the matching wine glasses are on sale, too.)

Saks Fifth Avenue is offering up to 25 percent off new arrivals and 20 percent off jewelry until Monday — and shipping is free with the code FREESHIP. Danish brand Rains makes some of the most stylish raincoats on the market right now, and its A-line jacket is on sale in both butter yellow and navy blue.

I’ve been on the hunt for a non-ugly trash can to keep under my desk for ages, and will be buying this bin from Yamazaki. (Our editor Maxine Builder has one in her office, if you need an additional co-sign.)

Cultiver — one of our favorite brands for top-quality linen bedding, bath linens, and apparel — is having a huge archive sale this weekend. If you’re not in the market for sheets, we suggest you check out this unisex linen robe, which is available in black, army green, and beige.

Here’s an unexpectedly chic weekender bag. It’s still in stock in light pink, army green, and slate gray.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
