23 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From CamelBak to Coach

You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

The big news on the deals front this week is that Ulta and Nordstrom have huge sales going on right now. You can find our entire coverage of the sales here and here, but I pulled out some of our favorite deals here. I also spotted a lot of excellent (and Strategist-approved) products in the clearance bins at REI and Shopbop; sitewide sales at Abercrombie & Fitch, Ole Henriksen, and Pink Moon; and a ton of men’s apparel and accessories that are 30 percent off at Urban Outfitters this weekend. Scroll on to see it all, and, as always, make sure to sign up for our email newsletter for even more sales coverage.

Actor and director Lou Diamond Phillips swears by Kneipp’s bath oil to decompress after a long day. Plus, it turns bathwater into a surprisingly calming teal hue.

Coleman’s great-for-beginners tent is on sale in apple green, just in time for warm-weather adventures.

Ulta’s Spring Haul sale started yesterday, and the deals are good. (You can find our entire coverage of the sale here). I love Tanologist’s mousse for a subtle, easy-to-apply color, but am intrigued by the brand’s tanning mist since it’s safe to spritz on your body and face.

CeraVe’s dermatologist-beloved face cream is a Strategist best seller month after month. It’s formulated with ceramides and hyaluronic acid that lock in moisture, and it works on a variety of skin types, even those with eczema.

Clinique’s flower-embossed, buildable blush is available in a variety of colors at Ulta — but if you’re looking for the Black Honey shade to match your lipstick, you can find that on sale at the brand’s website.

Nordstrom keeps adding more goodies to its massive Spring Sale, which ends on April 11 — and you can find everything we’re oohing and aahing over here. If you hate dealing with lacing and relacing on the trail, get these waterproof slip-ons that are currently half-off.

Our favorite thongs are on sale in a trio of spring-y colors.

These magical Ribcage jeans are 30 percent off at both Nordstrom and Levi’s. They’ve appeared numerous times on the Strategist, including in our guides to the best mom jeans and high-waisted jeans — I recommend buying them in Feelin’ Cagey, which is a not-quite-black, not-quite-gray wash that goes with everything.

Men’s apparel and accessories are 30 percent off at Urban Outfitters — including already-on-sale items like this North Face crewneck.

Apparently it’s already baseball season? Go sports!

One of Dusen Dusen’s signature striped oven mitts is 40 percent off at Shopbop. You can find it in the Strategist Kitchen 100, which is our best-of-the-best kitchen essentials spanning across our archives.

To really play with patterns, pick up this delightful towel set, which includes one washcloth, one hand towel, and one bath towel.

You can always count on Loeffler Randall to produce some supremely snazzy accessories. As a rhinestone maniac, I will be purchasing these claw clips — but will be gifting the larger one as a Mother’s Day gift.

If it’s a really bad hair day and a claw clip just won’t cut it, here’s a woven hat from Madewell for half-off.

Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and it’s a well-known fact that Coach’s work-appropriate tote will be much appreciated (and will last forever). Since it’s on sale in three colors — saddle brown, navy blue, and oxblood — pick up one for yourself, too, so you both can match without matching.

REI’s got some excellent hiking and camping gear in its clearance section right now. This leakproof CamelBak water bottle has a magnetic cap and is completely dishwasher safe.

I’ve been going on a lot of long walks lately, which I thoroughly credit to how spacious, lightweight, and comfy the Altra Lone Peak 6s are. A newer version of the shoe just launched, so you can find these on sale in both men’s and women’s sizes at REI and the brand’s website.

These beeswax-coated cloth wraps are “perfect for eco-conscious desk-sandwich eaters and school-cafeteria lunchers alike,” writes Strategist contributor Laura Perciasepe.

Everything at Abercrombie & Fitch is 25 percent off through April 10, and we suggest stocking up on these jorts that were “love at first sight” for Strategist writer Latifah Miles. “I don’t ever have to untangle them from my thighs, constantly readjust the waist, or hold my breath to squeeze them on,” she says.

I’m enamored with this Lands’ End quilt from yoga and movement teacher Chloe Kernaghan’s wedding registry. It’s available in four colors (gray, pink, light blue, and navy) and three sizes (twin, full/queen, and king) — and the matching shams are on sale, too.

Everything at Ole Henriksen is 30 percent off this weekend. For a body lotion that exfoliates, too, Strategist writer Tembe Denton-Hurst says the brand’s AHA-infused moisturizer “gently sloughs away dry skin while also moisturizing the fresh, new skin underneath.”

Another Strategist-tested moisturizer for baby-soft skin: This oil from Pink Moon that our writer Arielle Avila credits with helping her skin survive its first New York winter. (It also makes a very nice Mother’s Day gift.)

Jinsoon’s Rio-approved nail polishes are 15 percent off through Sunday night. Just one swipe of this confetti-style polish makes your nails look like birthday cake.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
