24 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Cocofloss to Keen

You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.

After what felt like a marathon of a week, it’s only fitting that today’s massive deals roundup features a ton of shoes — including hiking boots, pool slides, and some jewel-encrusted high-tops (that are actually earrings). I found an affordable and easy-to-install bidet attachment, a rarely on-sale Apple smartwatch, and a drag-queen-approved night oil for glowing skin. Plus Hanna Andersson is having a huge sitewide sale, and this weekend is your last chance to get up to 20 percent off everything at Sephora. See you all next week, when we’ll be having our fourth annual Two-Day Sale, and make sure to sign up for our email newsletter for even more sales coverage.

From $400

Apple products rarely go on sale, so we were surprised to see the brand’s latest smartwatch for $70 off at Amazon. It features the same fitness tracking that made the Series 7 great, plus crash detection and a new temperature sensor for menstrual-cycle tracking.

Here’s an idea for an easy home project you can do in one weekend: a bidet attachment that has a control dial to adjust the dual nozzles.

Some of our favorite hiking boots for men are up to 49 percent off at Amazon. A waterproof ankle boot is necessary on muddy (or still-snowy) trails, and Keens have the added bonus of a wider toe box.

If you’re not totally convinced, or you just have an aversion to ankle-height trail shoes, this low-profile version is also on sale.

In more shoe news, Adidas is offering its vast collection this weekend with the code SNEAKERS. The code applies to already on-sale items like these pool-ready shower slides.

These chunky Salomon-like sneakers are up to 58 percent off in certain colors including this surprisingly demure ballet pink.

Once you’ve added a pair of shoes to your order at Adidas, you might as well add some apparel — like this patterned workout top from the brand’s most recent collaboration with Marimekko. (You do need to also get a pair of shoes to get the discount, though.)

Here’s something glitzy for the sneakerheads.

Everything is 40 percent off at Hanna Andersson this weekend. We’ve long said the brand makes the cutest kids swimsuits, and this tankini set comes in 19 patterns to choose from.

The brand’s Earth Day prints are especially adorable — and can totally be worn as going-out clothes (something my 4-year-old half-brother often does).

I’ve been waiting for a sale like this to finally purchase this supersweet Miffy tee (in an adult size).

Cocofloss makes our pick for the best overall dental floss, which has been recommended to us by several dentists for its soft, textured thread, anti-microbial coconut oil coating, and effective plaque removal. Through April 24, the brand’s Earth Day collection — including this floss, toothbrush, and travel-pouch set — is 20 percent off with the code EARTHDAY23.

Sephora’s Savings Event ends on Monday, so it’s your last chance to get site-wide savings on thousands of Strategist-approved beauty, skin-care, and hair-care products. (And make sure you check out our entire coverage of the sale here.) This face oil is a must-have for drag queen Farrah Moan, who says that “when you put it on at night, you’ll wake up in the morning with really refreshed-looking skin.”

Here’s another drag-queen-approved pick: The cast announcement for season eight of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars dropped yesterday, and I spotted Heidi N Closet spritzing this setting spray while getting ready for the promo photoshoot. It’s a cruelty-free dupe of M.A.C’s popular Fix Plus.

Turn your trash into treasure with this colorful bin designed by Dusen Dusen for Areaware. The entire site is 20 percent off through Sunday night with the code REFRESH20.

SkinStore is having a secret sale on EltaMD and PCASkin products. Use the code SPRING20 to take 20 percent off this dermatologist-recommended (and Strategist-approved) tinted sunscreen through April 24.

Ban.do is offering up to 50 percent off a huge selection of summer essentials this weekend. Here’s a cheeky beach towel for the tinned-fish fanatic.

A pool floatie to capture the mid-century Palm Springs fantasy.

Vacation’s reef-friendly sunscreen has an authentic “tilt valve” that produces realistic mounts of whipped-cream-like foam.

These actually stylist Bluetooth earbuds are the updated version of the pair that former Strategist writer Chloe Anello wrote an ode about in 2021. They have enhanced bass, boast a 25-hour battery life, and fit snugly into the ear.

I know the word jacket doesn’t necessarily scream “spring,” but this floral-printed option sure does.

You may not have gone to Coachella, but you can at least look the part.

Orders over $150 score free shipping at Blank NYC, so it’s a good time to look for bigger-ticket items such as this suede leather jacket, which is available in five colors.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
