Who Can Shop During Amazon Prime Day?
The majority of Prime Day deals are reserved for — you guessed it — Prime members. If you want to take advantage of the discounts without committing to a membership, just sign up for a free 30-day trial. You can cancel it when your Prime Day packages arrive (which will definitely be within the 30-day window).
How Often Is Prime Day?
Valid question. Prime Day used to be an annual event, but Amazon recently added a second sale called Prime Day Early Access (essentially a Prime Day part two, if you will). The inaugural event took place on October 11 and 12 last year and featured just as many sales as the original Prime Day. That’s two official Prime Days, four total days of discounts, and literally thousands of deals.
What’s on Sale?
It’s too soon to tell what will be included in the Prime Day 2023 sale. Based on past years, you should expect to see sitewide markdowns across all categories — from fashion and beauty to kitchen, home, and tech.
If you don’t want to wait for the official Prime Day 2023 sales to drop, good news: There are so many early deals on top-rated items (including AirPods, air fryers, and cozy bedsheets) that you can shop before the sale starts.

Prime Day has gained a reputation for being the time of year to snag big-ticket items and household essentials for a fraction of the price. Think TVs, air fryers, vacuums, mattresses, and headphones. July is usually a big month for discounts, so Prime Day shouldn’t be the only event on your radar. Retailers like Target, Best Buy, and Walmart have historically hosted sales around the same time as Prime Day. Plus, the always-iconic Nordstrom Anniversary Sale will take place on July 17 this year.
