You may not be in the Hamptons right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t live vicariously through everyone else on the South Fork. As we end this week of sweltering heat, here are all the parties you missed, from ballet with Chanel to Miu Miu’s summer club and lots and lots of dinners by the beach. These are the best looks to usher in the weekend.
Chic in Chanel: Coco Baudelle
If your summer plans don’t include ballet, let Chanel’s latest event inspire you to buy that ticket and plan your look to go with it. Baudelle was one of many guests (nearly 300) treated to an evening of ballet at Lincoln Center from five of New York’s celebrated dance companies: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Hispánico, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and New York City Ballet. “I’ve seen dance bring people together, bring the audience together, and expose the audience to a completely different form of dance,” choreographer Pedro Ruiz said. “What we’re doing right now is raising the bar.”
Best Little Black Dress: Gigi Hadid
While we’d love to summer with Miu Miu, we’ll settle for re-creating Hadid’s Miu Miu look. The brand took over the Malibu Pier and treated guests to a day of wellness, food, drinks, and a live performance by Georgia Gets By.
Most Matching Moment: Chloe and Halle Bailey
At the same event, Chloe and Halle shared a Sister, Sister moment in coordinating Miu Miu looks.
Best All-White Look: Camila Mendes
If you have an all-white party on your radar, this is the look to try. Mendes breaks up this monochrome look with silver accessories at Armani’s Acqua di Gio Parfum launch party in Malibu.
Best Tonal Look: Brooke DeVard Ozaydinli
Beauty’s favorite podcaster stepped out in a mix of tonal shades for Thirteen Lune and Mytheresa’s luncheon in the Hamptons.
Best Hair: Suki Waterhouse
Looks like Waterhouse is a big fan of the rock-star shag off set, too. The multi-hyphenate paired the style with a Stella McCartney dress at Cloudy Bay Wines’s dinner.
Best Shorts: Danie Sierra
Little shirt and big shorts is the outfit formula for summer as demonstrated here by Sierra. For Nordstrom and Stone Island’s dinner at Bernie’s in Brooklyn, she paired the look with tonal boots.
Best Prints: Ashley Graham
Yes, there’s a national tequila day, and while it’s already passed, you can now plan accordingly for next year. Graham celebrated with dinner at the Clase Azul Loft in Brooklyn.
Best Group Photo
David Rees, Maggi Simpkins, Lorraine West, and Ron Anderson were some of the best accessorized guests at Surf Lodge. To celebrate 15 years of Surf Lodge, De Beers hosted a dinner and curated a collection of jewelry from several brands including WWake and Mateo.
Best Sheer Look: Beverly Nguyen
Nguyen shows us how to wear all black in the summer without overheating in this sheer look at Michael Diaz-Griffith, Alex Rosenfield, and Matches’ cocktail reception. Guests gathered in the Hamptons to celebrate the launch of The New Antiquarians: At Home With Young Collectors.
Most Metallic: June Ambrose
Multi-hyphenate Ambrose was decked out in all gold to celebrate the launch of her St-Germain Avant Garden Party Kit. Naturally, the event called for a garden party and St-Germain cocktails at the Public Hotel.
Most Maxi Skirts

Best in Stripes: Hannah Bronfman
Let’s not limit our summer looks to stark whites and linen fabrics. Bronfman celebrated the Flamingo Estate Summer Body Shop launch with Mytheresa in this striped look.
